57 Days! The Shred is done!


Well, I completed the 30 days of the 30 Day Shred. Thank goodness. I’m soooo ready to be done. 🙂 I took my measurements which are on that page. They could have been better, but I wasn’t completely on the food band wagon the whole month.

Yesterday was my first day back on Weight Watchers. I used 28 of my 29 points and I earned 4 APs. I felt completely satisfied all day. Today marks day 2 and I have a lot of my food logged in for today. I’m hoping for another great day and I already have 3 APs under my belt.

So, December is just around the corner and I’ve been trying to think of something to aim for this coming month. I think it just may be to stay on track with healthy mindful eating. Easier said than done. 🙂

As for today, I put up plastic on the 4 windows in our house that need it for the winter. I’m heading out to the library soon to look for books and movies. Otherwise my day is wide open.

58 Days! PointsPlus starts

Good morning everyone! It’s a quick check in for me today. I’ve already been online and re-enrolled in Weight Watchers. I bought the monthly pass since I am way over goal and will have to pay anyway. This gives me access to online features, tracking, points values, etc. In order to register I had to put a weight in. I refuse to look at my scale therefore I shot high at 163# for my initial weight. I’ll know for sure on Thursday when I go to the meeting and then I can change things online.

So far with looking around I’m pretty happy with the changes. Some of my food went up 2 points and some stayed the same. I’m happy fruits are free and are most veggies. I’m most happy about butternut squash being 0. I also like that sugar-free applesauce is 0 since I add that into my sugar free jello a lot. It was a pain to figure out how much fruit I was using in my jello and now I don’t need to worry, I’ll just put the same amount in.

Okay, enough of that. I did get my workout in this morning. 2 APs. I’m going to walk this afternoon too, either outside or on the treadmill. Going online afterwards is going to be my reward for exercise! LOL


I’m happy to report that I had a great first day on PointsPlus! I still have 4 PP remaining for today and I earned 4 APs. Woohoo! It’s been ages since I’ve tracked my food and probably a bit longer since I’ve stayed in my points. Well, really it’s probably been 5 days, but it seems like months. LOL 😛

I’m taking this new program as a fresh start for myself too. I need renewed motivation, new things to learn, etc. So far so good.

59 Days!

Well, I’m on the verge of being sick. I’ve been taking Cold-Eeze to stop it in its tracks. I hope it works.

Yesterday I scored some new Asics running shoes. I tested them out this morning, but didn’t go hard core since I want to break them in, not kill my feet! I also got in the shred this morning, 2 more mornings to go!

Eating yesterday was pretty good. Not great, but not binge-fest either! My aunt’s food was definately better than the previous celebration we had on Thursday. 🙂 It was so nice to be around my family again. We are going to make plans to head up to St. Paul in the spring to get together. We want to hit the zoo, science museum and probably the Mall of America again.

So, I wrote before that I’m returning to Weight Watchers on the 2nd. It was ironic that I got a postcard in the mail inviting me back because there will be a new program. I also received an email today for a FREE meeting to introduce the new program to me. Although it won’t truly be free since I’m going to sign up online tomorrow so I can get a sneak peak at the new program before my meeting on Thursday. I want to get a handle on the new points values of things I normally eat to see how things will change. I am a lifetime member, but considering my goal weight it 150 and I’m probably in the 160’s right now I can’t go for free anyway.

I got my grocery shopping done this morning and when I came home the house was a disaster! The girls desperately want to put up the tree and they got into things before we even had the room rearranged to accomodate the tree! Ugg….anyway, in the end I put up the tree and the girls decorated it! Wonderful! I also put up a few other decorations and I’m done.

60 Days!

Well, I was awakened at 11pm last night because C was vomiting all over her room! It was quite a mess in the middle of the night and C is still a bit queasy this morning. I’m canceling going to the movies which has C in hysterics. She can’t understand why we can’t go. Well, I don’t want to take a child who feels bad to the movies. Simple as that. We’ll still be going to my relatives today for Turkey Day but I’m sure she won’t be swimming. L can swim though and she’s slightly disappointed about the movie, but she gets over things quickly.

So, about yesterday. My exercise was pretty good. I did go to Zumba and I was glad I went even though I wasn’t 100% into it. My food was so-so. Not entirely on plan, but not so far off the wagon either. Today should end up being a pretty decent day food-wise. I’ve already eaten breakfast and we’ll be eating lunch at home before we head to the Dells. I imagine supper may hold some temptations for me and I’m okay with that. I’m hoping for a better meal than I had on Thursday! 🙂

61 Days!

Good sunny but chilly morning! I did so-so yesterday. Onward and downward I say! LOL

This morning I got up and did the elliptical and level 3. I’m also going to Zumba this morning even though I’m not feeling great in my body. I’m actually looking forward to dancing around.

We have no plans for today other than relaxing and eating well! Tomorrow is a tad busier. We are going to the 9:30am free movie “Furry Vengeance”. Then we’ll come home for an earlier lunch before we head out to Wisconsin Dells. I want to stop at Kohl’s to look at new shoes. I’m hoping they’ll be on sale and I have an extra 15% off coupon that came in the mail. We are then heading to my aunt and uncle’s condo so the girls can go swimming before we eat dinner at around 4pm. My cousin, her husband and their 1 year old daughter will also be there. It should be a nice time and I’m looking forward to seeing them again.

Sunday I told the girls we’d put up our tree. It’s an artificial one and I’m absolutely in love with it. We’ll have to rearrange the furniture a bit and remove the recliner in order to get a spot for the tree. We’ll survive for the month the tree is up.

62 Days!

I’m not going to lie. I’ve been eating poorly. I’m still exercising which is good, I haven’t fallen completely off track, but my food intake is poor. Today is Thanksgiving and my goal is to not end up ‘stuffed’ like the turkey! LOL

I’m very excited to be starting Weight Watchers on the 2nd. My good friend is even going to pick me up and drive me there. Not that I couldn’t find my way, but it’s nice to have some support.

I did complete day 5 of level 3, only 5 more days to go and my back will thank me. 🙂

63 Days!

Morning’. TOM is killing me. I’m eating poorly, feeling crampy and just ugg… I know this too shall pass, but I’m blah right now. I did get in a short workout this morning. With TOM and other issues I have I just wasn’t into going hardcore today. I did complete the Shred however. 6 more days to go!

Today I have the Thanksgiving Feast at C’s school. I’ll be leaving around 1pm to set up for that. That’s all I have on my agenda for today. I’m not going to Zumba, I’m not preparing a lavish supper tonight, I’m just going to do some laundry, read a book and laze around. That’s what I feel like doing and I wish I didn’t feel so damn guilty about it! 😛

64 Days! 160.4#

Well, I had a great day yesterday. My afternoon walk on the treadmill earned me another 3 APs. I also slept like a baby last night, a baby that sleeps all night that is! It was great.

I got up to get my workout on, and earned 3 APs for today. I tell you, one area of my body that is super sore from the Shred is my upper back. Wow! I could surely use a massage, maybe I’ll have DH give me a rub down later. Oh, the other downfall of Level 3 is rug burn! My elbows and forearms are seriously sore from the ab-hold-planks and the side-ab-planks. Maybe I just need to toughen up my skin a bit!

Enough b*tchen! On to my day. I have to stop out at C’s school to do the final pickup for the Feast. Then it’s off to Kmart for a script and to look at a few items. Then finally to Wally-World to get some groceries and to pick up more items for the Feast. Then DH and I get to come home and baggie up 220 snack bags of trail mix for the kiddos! Good thing I have his help. I’m hoping to walk on the treadmill again today since tomorrow afternoon I’ll be at the school and won’t get in a second workout. Wait, I will because I’m going to ZUMBA tomorrow! I was so excited when I heard that they are having class this Friday too! What a great way to burn off my Turkey Day lunch!

I also have to do step one of the cranberry salad I’m taking on Thursday. The cranberries need to be mixed up with some sugar and set in the fridge overnight. Easy peesy.

Tonight I have Parent Club at C’s school. We need to discuss the Christmas program and our budget for the rest of the year. I’m hoping we get a lot of things accomplished so my anxiety level will be lower.

65 Days! 161.6#

Morning all. It’s hard to believe it’s going to be 60 degrees today! No sun, but warmth.

I got in 3 APs this morning. Level 3 of the shred is pretty good, my upper back muscles are definately sorer today than previous days. I think it’s the ‘superman’ that is getting me on that one.

This morning I have a couple of errands to run before I got to both schools to volunteer. Then I have a quick stop at the library on my way home. If the rain holds off this afternoon I think I’ll go outdoors for an afternoon stroll. It seems soon enough I’ll be trapped indoors with cold weather.

Afternoon all! It’s hard to believe it’s already 1:20pm! At least I’ve gotten a lot accomplished this morning already. I picked up the juice for the feast and made a quick stop at Walgreens. I got to C’s school and proceeded to unload ALL the juice and go door-to-door for the donations for the feast. Of course, we are missing quite a few, but I’m going to be stopping tomorrow morning too since I have errands on that side of town. While I was in C’s class I got to be the Art Helper! It was so fun to work with 4 kids as they made a Christmas Angel. 🙂 Then it was off to L’s school to read with the kids. Actually, today I got to have them write their spelling words on a white board. It was a nice change of pace for me and them. Then it was home for lunch. Since then I’ve also done the dishes, typed out a letter for Parent Club and organized the goodies for the Feast. I’m sure I’ll end up buying a few more boxes for the trail mix, but since PC will reimburse me it’s not a big deal.

Well, I need to go change my clothes so I can go walk ON THE TREADMILL! It’s raining. 😦

66 Days! 160.8#

Morning all! It’s a dreary day here today, but my day has started off well. I slept in a little bit, but it was so darn hot in our bedroom that I couldn’t sleep anymore.

I got in 30 minutes on the elliptical and then tackled Level 3 of the Shred. It was actually pretty easy. Yeah, I don’t to the real mountain climbers, yet, but I didn’t feel like I was dying through it! It’s actually a little less calorie burn than level 2, but we’ll see how tomorrow goes. I finished it out with 13 minutes on the elliptical to get in my 4 APs for today.

Food has been good so far and I have a few things I need to get done around the house today. I think the girls are thankful to be home and staying put for today. They had a busy Saturday for them and they were pretty exhausted at bed time.

This next week looks like this for me…

  • volunteer at school
  • pick up food for Thanksgiving Feast
  • prepare snack bags for feast, with DH’s help
  • Parent Club meeting Tuesday night
  • make salad for Turkey Day
  • Zumba
  • Thanksgiving Feast at school

  • girls swim at condo where relatives are staying
  • 2nd Turkey Day with relatives at condo!
  • relax…………

That should be enough activity to keep me out of trouble.
