Happy New Year’s Eve!

It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone! I’m looking forward to 2012. Of course, I look forward to every day that I’m still alive and kickin’! ๐Ÿ™‚

This morning I have to finish up the cupcakes I baked yesterday. I need to make my delicious homemade icing and get to work. *must remember to take a finished photo* I made the cupcakes with diet sprite and an egg white, the family got to taste test a couple that I didn’t have enough batter for and they said they were different…good…sticky…I said no one will notice once I gob my butter-laden icing on top! The party is at 2pm in Baraboo. I don’t know how long we’ll stick around, but we definately want to make an appearance and drop off the cupcakes for Sara.

We also want to hit up Farm & Fleet, Sears and Aldi’s. Hubby mentioned Menards at which point my eyes rolled back into my head and I passed out a bit! LOL I just detest that store. He can run in and I’ll wait in the van I think.

I was trying to figure out how to celebrate the New Year. Well, realistically I’ll be in bed before 9pm since I get up at 4:30am, I’m just too exhausted to keep my eyes open any longer. Maybe we’ll stop at the video store and pick out a movie. I’d like to see the final Pirates of the Carribean movie.

This morning I started Stage 2/Workout Aย of the New Rules of Lifting for Women. Not too tough except for the elevated static lunges. Who would have thought that would be much more challenging than a regular lunge, but just having my back leg up 6″ made a huge difference! Workout B looks a lot more challenging and like it will take a lot longer than the 30 minutes Workout A took. I plan to do B on Thursday.

Up and at ’em!

So having my friend’s kids here yesterday was a success. They were even asleep by 9:30pm which is unheard of! Of course, it’s now 6:45am and the two youngest kids are up and at ’em!

I’m happy that yesterday I was finally in a good mindset. Food went well, exercise went well, my attitude was good. I’m hoping for the same today. I did workout at home, a bit less than yesterday morning, but today I did some ab work too. Since a lot of my belly bloat has left I felt more like squeezing my belly muscles! LOL

I’m not going to Zumba this morning, I know, lame, but I’m not. Monday it is! After I drop off the girls this morning I’ll be headed out to do some more shopping. My goal for this coming year is to shop less, we’ll see how that really goes! LOL I also have to bake cupcakes this afternoon and frost them at some point before tomorrow. At least I’m not feeling any pressure about this since it’s strictly voluntary and not a paid for job.

Saturday afternoon we have a party at 2pm and then after we are there for a bit we are going to head into Farm & Fleet, Sears (before they go out of business!) and Aldi’s. We might as well make an adventure out of it since we are over there.

Sunday will be getting this kids back into a relaxed routine so they’ll be ready for a full week of school on Monday!

Hello there

Good Thursday morning! I’m bound to make it a good day! I did a total of an hour of cardio this morning to attone for my sins. Sheesh, you’d think I was a practicing Catholic! *I’m not…ย ย  ๐Ÿ˜›

I went to Weight Watchers yesterday with my girls. They were so good there and they received a lot of compliments for their behavior and cuteness! LOL I didn’t look at the scale and I have no idea what it said. I’m going to look next Wednesday after I weigh in then.

I applied for a job yesterday at Divine Savior. I’m sure 9 million other people will apply too, but I had to try. There isn’t much else out there that appeals to me.

My friend’s girls are here today and are spending the night. I hope they don’t all hate each other by morning since they are spending all day Friday at their grandma’s farm!

My day today is strickly focused on eating well and planning our menu for the upcoming week. I also have to plan for lunches for next week when the girls go back to school.

Tomorrow I may or may not go to Zumba. When I’m feeling blue I don’t feel like shakin’ my booty. We’ll see how the morning is tomorrow. I will be dropping all 4 girls off at 9am regardless. I do have to get to Walmart at some point and I have new tires going on the van tomorrow at 1pm. They say it’ll take an hour so I better bring my book along.

Speaking of books, I did finish another one last night.ย That brings my total for the year to 66 books! I don’t know if I can top that for next year, especially if I get a job outside of the house.

A Weigh A Day – December 26th

Okay, so I did get on the scale, I’m a glutton for punishment. Mostly I punish my poor body and then suffer the consequences. Anyhoo, I’m up almost 5# since Saturday morning!? Eh, mostly ham and chocolate covered pretzels are to blame for the sodium, along with my overindulgence of nuts on Sunday! Blech…

So this morning I got in 45 minutes of cardio at home and skipped Zumba since I feel like a bloated sow and instead went shopping with my family. The girls had money burning a hole in their pockets and I wanted to get groceries for the week. This afternoon we are headed to the 1:30pm movie of the Chipmunks! I’m actually looking forward to some cheap entertainment.

My schedule is thus….

  • M – movie
  • T – exercise at home, niece comes over from 9-3pm to play
  • W – exercise at home, Weight Watchers with my girls
  • T – exercise at home, my friend’s girls are here for the day and maybe a sleepover
  • F – exercise at home, drop off all 4 girls at my friend’s house, Zumba, get new tires on the van in the afternoon, bake cupcakes for a party on Saturday
  • S – exercise at home, party in Baraboo and shopping over there too
  • S – rest up before the girls head back to school!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone had a great day! We were up bright and early opening gifts here, 5:24am to be exact! Lots of great things were given and we had a nice time at Hubby’s Aunt and Uncle’s house. Of course we all ate way too much and I’m suffering the belly pain as I type! Oye…..

I shall return tomorrow, but sadly (or happily) I will NOT be getting on the scale for a bit! LOL

Looks like I’m up a tad, no worries. I got in some cardio this morning and I’m going to Zumba at 9:30 to get the pre-holiday burn on! LOL After that it’s a quick stop at Pierce’s, Dollar Tree and Kwik Trip. I need to get home before the kids get off the bus at 12:40ish. I told L she may need to use her house key if I am running behind. I typically wouldn’t leave them home alone and I do anticipate that I’ll be here before them, but I said “Just in case.” I also said to them that if by some chance they ever come home and I’m not here and don’t show up shortly they should call my friend Tami and their dad. Mostly to just inquire about where I am. Hopefully this situation will never arise, but I felt I should prepare them a bit.

What else is on tap for me today? Well, after the shopping I have some food prep to do this afternoon. Not too much, just make some jigglers and a gelatin salad so they can firm up for tomorrow. Tomorrow morning I have to prep the veggies and bake Hubby’s Apple Bars for Sunday. Sunday morning I’ll just have to bake the herb bread before we go. I think I have all my ducks in a row for the upcoming days. I even think I have most of our Winter Break planned out.

  • Monday – Zumba! Chipmunk movie in the afternoon, Walmart at some point for Christmas bargains!
  • Tuesday – My niece comes over for 1/2 the day.
  • Wednesday – Weight Watchers at noon
  • Thursday – My friend’s kids are here all day and a sleepover. Maybe lunch at Pizza Hut?
  • Friday – Drop all 4 girls off at friend’s house to go to their grandma’s house for the day, Zumba for me!

Well, the most important thing about TODAY is it’s C’s 7th birthday! It’s hard to believe that she’s grown so much! I love her to pieces!

Quilting a bit

Well, since I had nothing on tap for today I remembered a project I’ve been slacking on, C’s quilt! So today I got it layed out on the floor and sewed in into blocks of 4…….

Evidence…

The next step will be to wash & cut strips of fabric to go between the blocks. Hmm..I’ll save that for another day! ๐Ÿ˜›
