Cabin Fever!

Seriously, this weather has to give at some point. I need sunshine & warmth! So does hubby, he’s ornery. ๐Ÿ˜›

Yesterday I was tired, exhausted, Zumba was a challenge. Today I’m doing a bit better. I slept until almost 6am and then hit the treadmill for a 30 minute run, just a tad over 3 miles. The scale was down to 147.4#, much better. I got in just over 50 grams of fat yesterday and it was tough since supper was homemade chicken nuggets and homemade fries. They don’t have a lot of fat in them. I did enjoy avocado and nuts though.

I received an email from my Dr. yesterday. Here it is…

Dear Angela,
I would give it about 3-6 more months.
I will set you up to see the endocrinologist.
I would like you to come back for a couple more blood tests to check your adrenal gland.
serum anti-adrenal and anti-21 hydroxylase antibodies.

If your tests are normal we will start you on an estrogen patch and a 12 day per month progesterone. This will mimic your own cycle.
Hope this helps.

Me too!

I registered to walk a 2 miles Crazylegs race the end of April. So far 2 other Weight Watchers are doing it with me, we are hoping for some more. I ran the 8k in 2007, but I don’t feel like training for that again. A walk sounds much better. ๐Ÿ™‚

No other news on our end, just trying to wait it out for Spring!

Still feeling it!

Good morning! I decided to not workout at home this morning and just head to Zumba at 9:30am. My legs are still killing me, but thankfully my arms a lot better. I did weigh in at 148.4# which has me happy. Yeah, I know, don’t put too much into the scale. However, since I’ve upped my calories and fat I just want to keep a grip on things. I know all to well how quickly thingsย can spiral out of control! ๐Ÿ˜› Thankfully this past year I have worked for Weight Watchers. It has kept me ‘mostly’ on the straight and narrow and has made me more empathetic to myself. For instance, I would never tell a member anything negative about a gain, therefore I should treat myself with the same kindness. ๐Ÿ™‚

Last night at Weight Watchers a few of us decided we are going to walk the 2 mile Crazylegs Race in April. I ran the 8k in 2007 (I think), but I don’t have it in my anymore to run that far. A 2 mile walk is easy enough and a fun way to raise money for a good cause and to socialize with friends. I’m hoping the weather is cooperative and not rainy or snowy for that matter!

Not much else to report. Things are going well. Enjoy your day!

This girl is on fire!

Name that tune? Anyway, I’m not literally on fire, but my biceps, triceps, hamstrings and glutes are! Yowza, doing No More Trouble Zones yesterday along with Zumba Toning has left me very stiff this morning. I tried to work it out by running on the treadmill and then foam rolling this morning (even though Thursday is usually a day of rest). I think I need to keep up my stretching as the day goes on.

Yesterday, I got in just over 70 grams of fat and way too many extra calories. However, that seems to be my pattern on Wednesday so I’m just going with it. The home scale said 149# even. I’ll take it I guess, I just don’t EVER want to see 150 again, EVER!

At Weight Watchers yesterday it was just Sue and I again. Cheryl’s sister is in the hospital with breast cancer. Apparently her ‘herbal’ remedies aren’t working and she’s now doing very poorly. I feel awful for Cheryl. She’s lost her mother, father, uncle and tenants in the past year or so. I miss her at work and I hope things work out well for her and her family. We weren’t super busy yesterday which sort of suprised me. It was a sunny day and usually people will come out during nicer weather. I do work tonight too, so maybe some of those that weren’t there yesterday will show up tonight.

I’ve been keeping pretty busy this morning. I’m getting laundry done, I have bread rising now and I made homemade peanut butter. Beyond that I don’t have a lot to do. Tomorrow we meet with our insurance lady to discuss our rates. Hopefully we can get our premiums down a bit, but I’m not super positive about it.

Hubby’s interview went well. They said they’ll decide by early next week. The job was listed as a Jack-of-all-trades! He definitely fits that! They will decide soon because they are replacing TWO people that leave next week. We still have no idea what they pay, but the hours are 8am-4pm, with sometimes having to stay a tad past quitting time. They also said he’d have to come in on a Sunday evening to plow and snowblow if necessary. Not a huge deal since it’s literally 1 mile down the road.

Tonight hubby is taking the girls to Math & Science Night at school. It sounds like they have a lot of good things lined up for the kids to do and experiment with. It also solves the problem of hubby making supper since they’ll have walking tacos and Culver’s custard. Never turn down a free meal, right? ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s it from me, enjoy your day!

Maple Syrup

Good morning! Today L has a field trip to the MacKenzie Center to learn about maple syrup. I feel bad that it’s only 18 degrees out right now. I’m hoping she’ll stay warm enough for the 2 hours of her field trip.

Yesterday L had her first piano lesson. She enjoyed herself and Mary says she’ll progress pretty quickly since she has learned a lot about notes in music class. I say do whatever it takes to get her going. If we need to buy more books, so be it. I just want her to learn to play the piano.

After lunch yesterday I decided to head out for a mile walk. It was a tad breezy and cold, but I got my mile in and I felt pretty good about it. Even though it was only 20 minutes it was outside and NOT in my basement. That counts for something. ๐Ÿ™‚

My workout this morning was No More Trouble Zones for 55 minutes and I’m going to Zumba at 9am today too. I figured that was my cardio for the day. Since I feel like I’m slacking on strength lately I wanted to get in a hard-core workout. I’m feeling it!

The scale is at 149.2# that’s up 2.2# from last Wednesday. Hmm…I’m still going to keep up my increased calories and fat and see what happens. Yesterday I got in over 60 grams. I’m feeling a bit fluffy in my midsection, I keep hoping for the premenstrual bloat. Sorta! LOL

Hubby has his job interview this morning. I’m hoping it goes well, but I won’t find out until I get home around 2pm today.

That’s all I know. Enjoy the sunshine today!

Tough Tuesday!

Again, the alarm clock was unwelcome! ๐Ÿ˜› I did get up to workout however. I did 15 minutes on the elliptical and then Level 2 of Ripped in 30 with Jillian. The home scale has me up to 149.4# UGG….not a number I want to see. It’s been 7 days of increased daily points and increased fat in my diet. The scale has me up almost 2#, but I don’t believe all of that is ‘real’ weight. Again this morning I can not get my rings on. That’s telling me I’m eating way to much sodium. I know I am. Especially at night. I’m always a work in progress and I’m not perfect.

Yesterday I earned 13 APs from working out at home, Zumba and then walking for 30 minutes on the treadmill in the afternoon. I got in 68 grams of fat yesterday and I also received test results from the lab. Of course, I don’t know how to interpret them correctly, but according to the numbers I’m low in estrogen and FSH. I emailed my doctor asking her how much longer I can go without having to use prescription intervention to get a period. I want to give changing my diet a shot. I’ll wait to hear from her about it.

In a few weeks our 15 year wedding anniversaryย is coming up and hubby booked us a hotel room and we are going to get some massages. Nothing too wild, but celebratory nonetheless. ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I have nothing going on. I do have to drive L to piano lessons after school, but that’s about it.

Hubby applied at a job yesterday and they called him for an interview tomorrow morning. I’m hoping the pay is decent since it wasn’t posted. It’s close to home and that counts for something with gas prices being so high.

That’s if from me. Enjoy your day, I think I see a hint of blue skies! I’m hoping the sun makes an appearance for a little bit.

I got nothin’

Morning! I did not workout yesterday, instead I went shopping. I figured walking around was good enough since I felt like the living dead all day. Today is a bit better although my alarm was a rude awakening this morning.

My workout at home was a 40 minute run on the treadmill and I have Zumba at 9am. Home scale said 148.2# and I couldn’t get my rings on this morning. Too much sodium perhaps and not enough water. That’s my guess. I got in around 57 grams of fat yesterday and it was a struggle. I just didn’t feel very hungry yesterday.

Here’s my week in bullets…

  • Monday – home workout, Zumba at 9am
  • Tuesday – home workout, L starts piano lessons
  • Wednesday – home workout, work Weight Watchers, Zumba at 4pm
  • Thursday – home workout or day-of-rest, work Weight Watchers, hubby takes kids to Math & Science Night at school
  • Friday – home workout, Zumba at 9:30am
  • Saturday – home workout, Zumba at 8:30am, ground breaking at Library at 10:30am
  • Sunday – home workout or day-of-rest, bake cookies for baby shower

Yeah, not a lot happening. I told hubby I’m not getting a job, period. He’s just going to have to take care of us! ๐Ÿ˜›

I’m up, but not at ’em….

Good morning. I’m tired. I’m old. I can NOT stay up until 11pm any more. Especially since I was awake at 4am, or rather 5am, due to the time change. Regardless, I got 5 hours of sleep and I’m feeling it. The rainy weather doesn’t help me a bit. ๐Ÿ˜›

Yesterday we headed to the Dells to my friend’s hotel room. All the kids got to swim and I soaked up the heat of the hot tub! I definitely wish I had one at my house, it would get a lot of use. I tried taking some photos of the kiddos, but mostly got action shots that didn’t turn out. Here’s some that did.

After the kids were cleaned up and fed they headed home. My friends and I watched a bit of Pitch Perfect and then headed out to dinner. My food was fine and the restaurant was pretty neat inside, but we decided to head to Perkins for dessert. I think that was a great choice since it was much quieter there and we could talk for a couple of hours over dessert. It’s always nice to get to talk with everyone even if some ‘deep’ topics generally come up.

That leads me to today, did I work out? Nope, not yet, or not at all, I haven’t decided yet. I should go to Aldi today since are supposed to get MORE snow tonight and tomorrow. Nobody wants to go with me so I may venture out alone. I could/should walk a bit on the treadmill, but I have all day for that. I know that weights and hard core cardio are not in my sights today. The home scale was up to 148.4# this morning. No biggie! Oh, and I did estimate out my fat grams yesterday the best I could, I think 115 grams is plenty! LOL I’m pretty sure the 68 grams in the Peanut Butter Silk Pie took care of my recommended daily allowance. ๐Ÿ˜›

Enjoy your day. I may enjoy a nap during mine.
