Out for dinner…

Yesterday I got some great prices on meat at Walmart. Woohoo for cheap! LOL Then I worked at Weight Watchers and headed out early to get to the library for training. Of course the training that was supposed to be done at 4pm was done at 5:30pm! Thankfully then we could just drive to the restaurant for dinner. My dinner was eh….dry shrimp but a good baked potato. Whatever, it was free so I can’t complain too much.

25 Double Unders – I had to do 75 singles

I finished in just under 13 minutes! If I could master double unders I would have been done quicker. Hubby ordered me a rope today and some arm shields so I don’t get whip marks. I plan to practice in the garage.

I work at the library today until 1pm and then it’s the last Farmer’s Market so I’m hoping the apple guy will be there even though it’s raining today. I’m also wearing my Twister costume and I’m going to get some pictures at work today to post later on.

Tonight the girls will trick-or-treat even if it’s raining. They have been looking forward to it for a while now.

Oh the groin pain!

Happy Hump Day! 😛

I’ve been having some lower abdominal/groin pain on my right side lately. I think I noticed it a month or more ago, but it got better, then this past week the pain came back. I don’t recall what I was doing exactly at the gym, but the pain made itself known!

I completed 7 rounds and 100M row, it was tough!
 
So about the pain…my Google diagnosis is a inguinal muscle strain. I don’t believe it’s a hernia like people at the gym might think. Nothing is bulging out, both sides feel the same to me. I will probably call the clinic and see if I can get it looked at to rule out the hernia and just focus on healing the strain. For now I just avoid the moves at the gym that cause me pain.
 
I’m heading out to shop soon, then I work WW. After that I head to the library for a staff in-service and then out to dinner. Busy day, I better get ready!

It was a brutal quad workout! I’m hoping they take it easy on our legs for tomorrow’s workout. In a bit I’m going to walk on the treadmill since I need to get movement in today. Yesterday was waaayyyy too much sitting around for my taste.

  • Wednesday – FF, work Weight Watchers, training at library, dinner out with library staff
  • Thursday – FF, wear Halloween costume to library, trick or treat at night!
  • Friday – FF, shot for L after school, middle school dance at night for L

Home at last!

 Happy Monday afternoon! My day started with a workout. Everyone seemd a bit lackluster this morning.

Then it was off to St. Mary’s hospital for hubby’s stress test and TEE. 5 1/2 hours later we learned that he is doing just fine! Mild stenosis, the doctor said no surgery for many years yet. 🙂
 
Today has been a lot of sitting around, oh well, I guess I should be grateful I got in a workout this morning and that hubby will be able to join me again in the morning now that his ticker is good!

I made it to the gym this morning!

Happy Saturday! We survived the birthday party. 🙂

I went to bed around 9:30pm and I don’t know when they did. L said she was asleep by 10:30 and the other girls said they stayed up til midnight. All I know is when I got back from the gym at 7:30am they were starting to get up.

8 ground to oh 115/75 – I used 65# and that was plenty heavy.
I got done with 5 rounds and 1/2 way through pushups of the 6th round. I was pretty sweaty afterwards. There were only 4 of us at the gym today and Tom the trainer was extra pumped today. He was very motivating and high-fived is all afterwards. I then rushed home to get ready for work. I had about 50 minutes to get ready. Thankfully I packed my lunch before I left for the gym. Work wasn’t very busy and I was able to get one project done and another one started. The kids came in around 12:30pm and stayed until I was done at 2pm. Hubby has some things to do and I thought they could hang with me for a bit. They did some reading and played on the computers.

In a bit we’ll be going rollerskating. Well, L and a friend will be going. C is going to her friend’s house and I’ll get her after we are done. I’m going to bring a book. 😛

Finally the day is here!

Today is L’s birthday party. She turns 11 on Sunday. She’s having 3 friends over for food & games and then tonight is the haunted hayride. Thankfully it won’t be too cold tonight. 🙂 I’m only hoping they are quiet enough when I go to bed since I have to work tomorrow.

My workout this morning was at home since the gym wasn’t open for my regular class times. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical and then intervals for 20 minutes on the treadmill. Nice quick workout!

Soon we are headed out to get a movie for tonight and get some cash! Enjoy your Friday. I’ll try to post some photos this weekend.

So much for a quiet house.

 I got home at 6am from the gym to have L already dressed for the day! C was up by 6:30, so much for my quiet time alone. 🙂

I went to the gym today since Friday’s classes are canceled, yeah I could go at 7:30am, but I know that’s not going to happen. Instead I’ll use my equipment in the basement.

C has already cleaned her room this morning and L has to work on hers. C’s reward was being able to download a game she’s wanted for a while now. L has to clean it for her party tomorrow. We have no plans today. I have a few items on my home to-do list, one is walking and reading sometime this morning.

Oh, happy day!

 It’s Hump Day people! 🙂 The kiddos are off school Thursday & Friday which will be nice. It’ll give them a little break since they’ve been doing so well in school. We had conferences for L last night. She’s doing great! Yeah, she could participate more, but she’s getting there. Sadly, both girls are coughing and L woke me up at 11:30 last night for some cough medicine. Then at 3:30am I heard her coughing again and gave her some Vicks for her neck and chest. This morning L had to be to school by 7:15 for Student Council so I headed to Walmart to get some more medicine, with a bit different ingredients. I’m hoping by when she goes back to school on Monday things will be all cleared up.

Today I work WW over lunch and then the library tonight. I also work tomorrow night at the library, I switched shifts with a co-worker which actually works out well. I have to get some things done for L’s birthday party and we can work on those during the day.
 
Friday I don’t work and I have to bake her cake. The party starts around 3pm and we are having dinner here before we go to the Haunted Hay Ride. For dinner she choose hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls to look like mummys, tater tots, corn & sunchips. Dessert is angel food cake with cool whip and vanilla ice cream with some chocolate topping that hardens. The hayride starts at 6:30pm until 9:30 so we don’t have to be there at a specific time. I think she also wants to pick up a movie to watch that night when they get home. Her other idea is having hot cocoa. She saw an idea where you melt chocolate chips and put them into an ice cube tray and add mini marshmallows on top. Then you put that cube into your cocoa, she thinks that’s genius! 🙂
 
Saturday morning I work from 8:45-2pm at the library. That means hubby is in charge of the girls until they get picked up at 10:30. Then on Saturday night L and a couple of friends are going rollerskating in town. I’m hoping I can convince hubby to go with me and hang out while they skate.
 
Sunday looks like a day at home. The pool doesn’t have open swim until 6pm and I prefer to be home at that time on a Sunday.
 
Monday will be interesting. I took off work since I have to go with hubby to St. Mary’s hospital in Madison for some tests. One is a stress test and the other is a TEE, where they will put a camera down his esophagus to look at his heart. I’m hoping they don’t tell us he needs to get his valve fixed. I don’t know if I can deal with that. Anyway, fingers crossed we get good news.

Slept like a baby!

Happy Tuesday! I slept wonderfully last night. I wasn’t ready to wake up when the alarm went off, so I hit the snooze. Then I had to hustle around to get ready for the gym.

This morning I’m baking bread. I cleaned up the living room, rearranged the couches and vacuumed. I still need to wash off the couches, the microfiber cleans up really well. Once the bread is on it’s final rise I’m going to walk and read on the treadmill for a bit.
I work from 1-5 and have conferences at 7pm tonight.
 
I’m still on track with my eating and I’m happy about that. The scale was up to 151.4# after the gym this morning and I’m going to weigh in tomorrow at WW just to see what it says.
