Happy (day after) Thanksgiving!

Good evening. Yesterday was Thanksgiving and in the past I’ve done very poorly with my eating. This year I had a plan and I actually followed through with it! LOL

I exercised at home in the morning. We had lunch at my SIL’s and the food was great! I did NOT stuff myself and went for a 35 minute walk with my uncle-in-law BEFORE I had dessert. When we got back from our walk I waited another 45 minutes before I had 1/2 a slice of her pumpkin pie with cool whip (I did sneak one bite of L’s pecan pie, it was wayyy too sweet and I LOVE sweet!). We came home and I had a salad for supper to try to make up for some of the excess calories from lunch.

Today I exercised in the morning. We then went to the Dells to watch Frozen. Great movie! I was smiling, laughing and teary-eyed throughout the movie. Wonderful! Then it was off to lunch at Subway. I opted for the chopped chicken breast salad. I brought along my own dressing and bag of cheesy Weight Watchers chips. Supper was sensible, pork chops and sweet potato fries. Then I went into my bedroom to read, but decided I wasn’t active enough today so I grabbed my new book and headed down to walk and read for 35 minutes.

I feel very good about the past 2 days and here’s hoping I can keep it up through the rest of the weekend! LOL

Still to come is the girls are going swimming and we are getting out our Christmas tree and décor. That along with the girls getting their schoolwork done.

I was done pretty quick, but I did a modified version while others did the Rx weight. It was a good one though!
Today I work at WW, I’m not weighing in even though I said I would. I don’t want to know. Then I have to take C to the dentist to get her tooth pulled, rush back home and rush back into town to work at the library tonight. We’ll either be busy with people getting books & movies (since we’ll be closed Thursday & Friday), or dead because people will be traveling & cooking. I can survive 3 1/2 hours of either one! 🙂
My plan for tomorrow is to do the elliptical at home in the morning and then make my salad for SIL’s house. We are leaving here around 11 or so and eating at 12-12:30. I then home to either go for a quick walk while we are there or walk & read at home later on.

I have a walk & read scheduled for the treadmill in a bit and then I work from 1-5. C has lego club after school and hubby is working on his side job today and tomorrow.
I broke down and got out the scale this morning and then put it back in the closet. 154# on the nose. It’s funny, but that’s the number I thought in my head. Thankfully all my clothes still fit the same, so I wonder if I am building a bit of muscle. Not 4# worth, but something. Whatever. I’ll weigh in tomorrow at WW just for accountability.

I work today, then the girls have eye dr. appointments after school. That’s my life today. 🙂

Taking the weekend off

Good morning. I was up at 4am this morning, thankfully yesterday I slept until 6. I worked until 2pm yesterday and then we braved Walmart so L could buy some beads with her birthday money. What a zoo! I remember (again) why I shop during the week around 10am. Much less people to deal with. All the weirdos were out too.

I’ve done *nor will I do* no exercise this weekend. I’m resting my tired muscles and I’m going to hit it hard Monday-Wednesday at Fitness Foundry. Since they are closed after that I’m going to get in some workouts at home Thursday-Sunday.

My upcoming week is a bit busier.

  • Monday – Fitness Foundry, work at library 8:45-1pm, eye Dr. appointments for the girls after school
  • Tuesday – Fitness Foundry, walk and read, work at library 1-5, C has lego club after school
  • Wednesday – Fitness Foundry, work Weight Watchers, make salad for Thanksgiving, take C to dentist to pull tooth, work library
  • Thursday – workout at home, Thanksgiving at SIL’s house
  • Friday – workout at home, movie with the kids?
  • Saturday – ?
  • Sunday – ?

I haven’t thought far enough ahead to the weekend, but I don’t have any major plans that I know of.

Balls, that was hard!

Happy Friday! When I pulled out of the driveway this morning to head to the gym I saw snow! Yikes! Apparently I blocked out ever hearing we were going to get some. At least it’s only on the grass and not accumulating on the roads.

Part B of the workout was a joke! I started with a 45# bar since I can not sumo deadlift highpull very much weight. Anyway, We were supposed to do 3 burpees (jumping over the bar each time), then 7 sumo highpulls, then 9 power cleans IN ONE MINUTE! I was still doing them at 1:10! So, then Tom said to go down to 2-6-8, still not done in time. I ended up doing 1-4-6 for the rest of the rounds. Yeah, 18 minutes of this. My arms and upper shoulders were trashed!
No gym tomorrow, just an at home workout and a DOR on Sunday. Next week the gym is only open Monday-Wednesday so I’ll be doing a lot of at home workouts next week. The following week we are having a MAX week. That means we are going to find out if the maximum amount of weight we can lift on each move has improved. I know I can clean more weight, but I’m unsure about the push press. I guess I’ll find out in 2 weeks how it’ll go.
This morning I’m headed to the middle school to count money for the Band & Choir fundraiser. Then I need to stop at the library to get some books for L to choose from. After school my friend’s daughter is coming over for a bit and after that is relaxation for me! Saturday I work at the library until 2pm and then who knows what will happen. Maybe I’ll take the girls swimming on Sunday afternoon.

Happy Thursday! I was so happy to be down 4# yesterday. I still have a ways to go to get back to goal, but I’m going to chip away at it and get there.
This morning the gym was not to busy. I knew a few people take Thursday off, but I was happy my friend Mary showed up otherwise I would have been the only one working out!
