The train to nowhere…

Happy Monday! These holidays are screwing me up! Thankfully the kids return to school on Thursday so I can get back into my routine of life.

Today’s workout was pretty good. My front squat increased to 110# during MAX week so 90% was 100# and pretty tough to complete.
No one today could do DU so we did double the amount of single jump ropes. I still can’t do toes -2-bar, but I did knees to chest. It was hard because I kept losing my hand strength to grip the bar.
On the way home, we were stopped by the train lights. Yeah, about 35 minutes later they had them fixed and we were able to come home. It took a cop and finally a railroad guy to come and fix the bars.
I’m going to walk/jog soon and then the girls are headed to their friends house for the day. I work this afternoon and then it’s home to relax some more. I’m great at relaxing! LOL

Slippin’ & slidin’

Good Sunday morning. Yesterday I took a DOR. My upper & mid back was super sore from the gym.

My workout this morning was 15 minutes on the elliptical and then I chose 5 workout cards from WW to do. Then I got back on the elliptical for 15 minutes and popped in a WW DVD for abs, 20 minutes of that.

We were going to Madison shopping today, but when I went out to get the Sunday paper I about bit it in the driveway. I did hear on the news that we were getting freezing rain, but I didn’t think it was here. Yep, it was! It’s not worth driving around on dangerous roads and the temperature is supposed to continue to drop all day long.

It’ll be a day of reading at home. 🙂

My upcoming week..

  • Monday – Fitness Foundry, walk/jog on the treadmill, work 1-5 at the library
  • Tuesday – workout at home, piano for L at 10:30am
  • Wednesday – workout at home, bake bread
  • Thursday – Fitness Foundry, work WW, work library 1-5, work WW, kids go back to school
  • Friday – Fitness Foundry, walk/jog on the treadmill
  • Saturday – Fitness Foundry?, program at library for kids, FF party at night?

The day after bloat….

Christmas was yesterday and it was a nice day. I was up early and read on the couch for a bit until I fell asleep again! LOL The girls were up by 5:40am and we started to open up gifts. After that I did my workout for the day and got things ready to head to the inlaws house. We were there from 11am-4:30pm or so. We were the last ones to leave and it was nice to chat with Hubby’s aunt and uncle. Of course I ate way too much junk yesterday. I felt very full last night and regretted eating all that. I was not looking forward to working out this morning, but I knew I had to.

  • 4 Deadlift @ 55%  – 95# for me

  • I finished 17 rounds + 4 deadlifts. I also thought I might blow chow during the burpees in the warmup. I was burping. Blech…

Today is a busy day for me. I’m leaving early to look for 50% off Christmas items.

Then I work from 10:45am-12:30 at Weight Watchers.

1-5pm at the library, and 5:15-7pm at Weight Watchers again.

That means I have to pack all my food for lunch, snack & dinner. A lot to remember, because heaven forbid I would starve to death! LOL

I will be weighing in at WW today. It’ll suck, but it is what it is. 🙂

The Christmas Eve Workout!

Good morning! It’s cold outside, 5 below. Yikes! The workout was a surprise until Hubby and I got there this morning.

  • C – Snatch – 10,000 lbs in 15 minutes
  • We all had our own weights and went one at a time until we reached 10,000 lbs lifted. It took almost the entire 15 minutes for it to happen!
  • My forearms are sore and I’m feeling good about that workout

Today we are going bowling to celebrate C’s and Hubby’s birthdays. I’m also hoping to stop at Kohl’s and look for new Asics. 🙂

Yeah, this workout was torture! It took over 36 minutes to finish. I did 15# bar on the bear complex and a 55# weight for the rest of the workout! It was hard! I was a sweaty mess, but I’m glad I was there.
Yesterday was a day of sloth for me. I did nothing, n o t h i n g. I did read, watch Harry Potter and nap. 🙂
Today I work 8:45-1 and then 5-8:30pm. I’m hoping to hop on the treadmill in the afternoon.
