I finished in around 12 minutes. My forearms were jacked up like Popeye when I was done! I did a bit of stretching when we were done and headed home. I’m going on the elliptical/treadmill in a bit and then showering up for the day ahead.

Beautiful!

The weather was great yesterday and I’m looking forward to today’s weather. 🙂

185 days til 40!

Yesterday I baked two angel food cake loaves flavored with strawberry-banana jello and I haven’t even had a piece yet! I know, what is wrong with me? Today is the day for that!

Last night for supper I made homemade chicken nuggets and fries. Always a huge hit in this house.

nuggetsL is sleeping over at her friend’s house. C slept with me last night since hubby fell asleep on the couch. He ended up in C’s bed.

I got in my workout this morning. I did Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred with Jillian. It’s been ages since I’ve done that DVD. Not too difficult. Then I ran for 15 minutes and then walked/read for 15 minutes more. Later on today we are going to the levee to walk with the girls and I may walk again after supper. I need to enjoy the weather while it lasts since they say rain is likely all week. 😦

  • Wednesday – FF, home workout, work WW and weigh-in, work 5-8:30
  • Thursday – FF, work 8:45-1, workout at home, dinner out for 16th wedding anniversary

Of course, I’ll more than likely take a day of rest in there somewhere.

Resting…

186 Days til 40!

Today is a day of rest for me. I realized I worked out all 5 days during the week, sometimes multiple times a day. Therefore, these old bones need a day off! 🙂 Who knows, it could turn into two days off. Rest is good.

This morning I was awake at 4am, not a huge surprise. So far I’ve kept my eating under control. That’s the hard part when I get up so early on the weekend, feeling in control of my food.

Around 9am we picked up L’s friends for the canned good movie. It was Nut Job and they said it was pretty good. While they were there hubby and I went to Walmart for a few things. One of which being an angel food cake mix. I’m having a hankering for something ‘sweet’ that won’t break the WW points bank for me. When the movie was over the girls met us at the library and we went to see artwork at the Portage Center for the Arts.

The girls ate lunch and then went for a walk around the neighborhood. I made angel food loaves. 🙂

No plans for this weekend. I’m looking forward to doing nothing.

Rowin’ my boat.

Happy Friday! I have nothing to do today. I take that back. There is plenty to do, but will I do it? 😛

I was asleep by 8:30pm last night and got up at 4am (almost) ready to hit the gym!

My total time on Workout B was just under 12 minutes. After the workout Tom (the trainer) worked with me on my rowing. I think I finally get it! We’ll see the next time we row.

So what’s going on this weekend? I’ll workout at home tomorrow since the gym is closed on Saturday. Then the girls are going to the movies with their friends at 9:30am. While they are there I’m going to do some shopping and hang out at the library until they are done. I think they’ll come here after for lunch and to hang out for a bit.

Sunday is supposed to be beautiful so we are planning on taking the girls to the levee for some fresh air and exercise! Hubby thinks it’ll need some traffic lights because so many people will be out enjoying the weather!

Set weight?

188 Days til 40!

I weighed in yesterday at 156.8#, whatever. Maybe this is where I’m supposed to be weight-wise. I’ll just keep on keepin’ on.

I finished workout C in 9:24! AND I used the 14# wall ball which sucks compared to the 10#!

I came home and did 20 minutes on the elliptical once I woke the girls up. Adjusting to school has been a bit tough this week.

I work 8:45-1 and then I’m off from WW tonight. I’m going to help L sew a project she’s doing for Easter and watch some Project Runway! 🙂

My front squat was 75#, 90# and 100#. Tracy said MAX week will be coming soon! My deadlifts were 110#, 130#, 150# for the cleans I did 50#, 60# and then 65#. I chose to do the burpees instead of rowing. I also had a conference call for WW so I walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes of that and then did a bunch of stretching.

Last night L had her FFA skating party. She won the limbo! I think it’s the first time she’s actually done it and she won! 🙂 After we went to Walmart shopping. Surprisingly it was NOT busy there, but the girls take forever to pick out shoes! LOL We were home shortly after 8pm though so it wasn’t too awful. The bonus is my shopping is done except for picking up grapes and eggs this morning.

I weigh-in today, who knows what the scale will say. 😛

Going through the motions….

Happy Tuesday! It snowed a bit last night and the roads were very icy on my way into the gym. Right now it’s super windy too. Blech…I’m just waiting for Sunday when it will be in the upper 50’s!

They gym was different today. There were 2 people there that haven’t been in ages and then me and another lady that comes all the time. For the handstand I worked more on balancing away from the wall and I did walk along the wall a bit too. For the snatch the heaviest I got to was 40# and that was it. It’s super hard to catch and balance that overhead and then be in a squat at the same time! Workout B took over 22 minutes for me to get through. I had to do 60 single jumps instead of the double unders. I did practice some after the workout and I have the whip marks to prove it. MAN those hurt!

I’ll be getting on the elliptical/treadmill in a bit yet this morning and then I have to make our taco meat for supper tonight. L has roller skating from 5-7pm today for FFA. C and I are going to pick her up and go to Walmart to look for some shoes and yoga-type pants for L. Maybe that will keep me out of the kitchen! 😛

I skipped the gym!

Good Monday morning! Back to status quo around here as the girls are back to school. 🙂

191 Days til 40!

Let’s see…yesterday I made granola and homemade bread. I also ate some of that granola, grr….bad carbs.. 😛 Moving on. I did see the workout for this morning and I decided to SKIP the gym. The workout was awful! I did NOT want to do 100 thrusters and then every minute on the minute do 5 burpees! It would easily take over 20 minutes and I just got the feeling back in my quads yesterday! So, I did an at home cardio workout and then I’m going to walk and read in a bit before I shower up for the day. I slept until 5am and could have slept longer. I did 2 miles on the treadmill, running and then 15 minutes on the elliptical, in between I did pushups, good mornings and air squats. I’ll be back at the gym tomorrow regardless of the torture they are going to put me through. 😛

I finished 3 books over the weekend and now I’m only down to one on my stand. MUST FIND MORE BOOKS! Thank goodness I work 1-5 today.

Last day of Spring Break.

Good morning! Last night I had a wonderful massage. I drank plenty of water after, which meant I was up 3 times last night using the bathroom, finally at 4:30am I just got up and took a hot bath. I’m not experiencing any soreness like after the last massage I had. 🙂

192 days til 40!

Yesterday, after the twins went home, we went to Baraboo. We went to the music store, book store, jewelry store, out for lunch, St. Vincent de Paul and Aldi before heading back home.

Lunch was at a diner. The food was decent.

L ordered chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. She did not eat it all! We helped and I ate some of the chocolate chip portion for my ‘dessert’.

mushroom sandwichMy lunch was a Portobello, roasted red pepper, spinach and tomato sandwich with Havarti cheese on it. I omitted the top bun and ate the rest of the sandwich. I probably ate 1/2 of the fries and shared the rest with hubby and L. I walked out of there feeling full but not stuffed or uncomfortable. I even managed to have a salad for supper and reasonable snacks so I didn’t go too far into the red for my points yesterday.

Today is a day of rest for me. That way I’ll be rested up for tomorrow and the rest of the week.

  • Monday – Fitness Foundry, exercise at home, work 1-5, L has piano (walk? if not too cold)
  • Tuesday – FF, at home w/o, work 1-5, L has roller skating for FFA from 5-7pm
  • Wednesday – FF, walk on tm from 7-8 during WW conference call, work WW meeting, work 5-8:30 at library
  • Thursday – DOR?, work 8:45-1, work WW? (I haven’t decided yet)
  • Friday – FF, at home w/o

What day is it?

I’m confused. Today seems like Sunday and hubby said to not rush the weekend!

193 days til 40!

Last night L had her twin friends over. They all went roller skating and I picked them up at 9pm. I went to bed and I have no idea how long they stayed up. All I know is I got up at 1:30am to use the bathroom and the house was dark and quiet. It’s now 8:16am and they are still asleep!

At some point the girls have to go home today and celebrate their dad’s birthday. I’m not sure what time that is yet, but afterwards we are going to Baraboo to get a few things. I want to go to the music store there and get some reeds for my clarinet. Maybe L can find a piano book too.

Tonight I have my massage which will most painful since my quads are killing me from yesterday’s workout. That being said, my workout this morning was walking at 4 mph and reading for 30 minutes and then 15 minutes on the elliptical. Tomorrow will be a DOR for me.
