154 days til 40!

Happy Hump Day! (sing it like the camel!)

I’ve been on track now for 7 days. No binge eating. I’m measuring portions. Yes, I did eat some cereal and nuts, but in moderate amounts and accounted for. All in all I feel good about the last week, so good that I’m going to brave the scale at WW today even though I don’t have to weigh today. I’m just curious.

My total reps for workout C was 178 (I think). I’ll have to see the post tonight on Facebook that Darko takes of the board. 🙂

Plans for today…I’m hitting the elliptical soon and then showering up. I need to leave around 9:45 to get some shopping done before WW set-up starts at 10:45. I work tonight at the library too.

Last night we went to the Awards Ceremony at school. L was presented with her trophy for winning the spelling bee and recognized for being a member of Student Council. She was bright red when she went to get her trophy since her friends shouted out her name! LOL Very proud of her.

Day 7 – Day 6 Success!

155 days til 40!

Good Tuesday morning! I slept well and felt pretty good body-wise this morning. Last night when hubby took L to piano, C was reading to me and I was stretching and foam rolling. I decided to roll my left buttock and I felt it ‘give’. I think that may have helped my tight hip flexor muscle. I’m going to get a bit more cardio soon and then stretch after and see how it feels then.

A- Hanging L-Sit, tabata 10 rounds – this was so-so, it’s hard, I can’t do an L, but I can lift my knees to chest.

5-5-4-4-3-3-3-2-2 – no weights for me, but I did use the bands and started with the biggest and moved on down in size until I couldn’t do them.
C- For time

I did single jumps and ALMOST did them all unbroken except for ONE TIME when it hit my shoe! I wanted to get them all done without stopping, so close. I think I finished workout C in 9:46 or so.

I work 1-4:30 today and then we have Awards Night at 6pm at school.

Day 6 – Day 5 Success!

156 days til 40!

It’s Monday, it was sorta hard to get out of bed this morning. I am still a bit stiff from last week, old age sucks! 😛

Hubby and I were partners and we finished in 25:23, he’s a faster rower than I am! That only means he got a longer break while I rowed and I got the shorter one.

I work from 8:45-1pm today and then I’ll have to get in my extra exercise. I realize it’s NOT going to happen in the morning like I hoped.

Mad Hatters! (Day 5 – Day 4 Success!)

157 days til 40!

Happy Sunday!

Last night hubby, the girls and I went to see the UW Mad Hatter’s a cappella group. It was FANTASTIC! They performed for 2 hours with an intermission. Lots of great oldies and newbies and the guy that was the beatbox was fabulous! The girls had a great time and I’m glad we took them along. C ended up seeing one of her teachers there and I sat next to a woman I used to go to yoga with a few years back. There were a handful of other people I knew there too, but many that I didn’t (obviously).

Yesterday we ended up going to garage sales, stopping at the library, Goodwill shopping for L’s pirate shirt for her band concert, Walmart shopping and then home. The girls and I finished up hoeing the vegetable gardens and they each staked their claim to their portion of the new garden. I told them it’s entirely their responsibility. The only watering I will do is if the sprinkler is on, no weeding from me. 🙂

So, I should have probably exercised this morning, but I’m okay with 2 days off. My legs are almost back to normal and I’ll do some stretching and foam rolling again today, but nothing formal in the way of exercise. I’ll be back in the gym tomorrow!

My week..

  • Monday – Fitness Foundry, quick elliptical workout, work 8:45-1, hubby takes L to piano (supper: burgers on grill & homemade fries)
  • Tuesday – FF, workout at home, work 1-4:30, awards night at school (beef roast in crockpot with homemade mashed potatoes)
  • Wednesday – FF, workout at home, work WW, stop at Walmart for misc. and bday gift for C’s friend, work 5-8:30
  • Thursday – FF, quick elliptical workout, work 8:45-1, band concert for L
  • Friday – FF, workout at home, L has dance at school and sleeping over at friend’s house
  • Saturday – C has a birthday party/sleepover in the afternoon, pickup L at some point

Of course I’ll take a day off during the week from the gym if I need it.

Day 4 – Day 3 Success!

158 days til 40!

Happy Saturday! I’m not working out today, well maybe some gardening later on or a short walk. My body is trashed from working out. Yesterday I was

  4. raked the gardens
  5. walked with C after supper

That was a lot of activity yesterday and I even stretched and foam rolled a few times, but my body doesn’t feel the relief yet.

Day 3 – Day 2 Success!

159 days til 40!

Happy Friday! I slept all night AGAIN last night. Unheard of, 8:30pm til 4am, like-a-rock! 🙂

For this workout ‘Cindy’ I did one round every minute on the minute. I got 20 rounds done with 5 pullups! When I total is all up I did 100 pullups, 200 pushups and 300 squats! That would be the reason I’m already finding it hard to rise from my chair. 😛 I’m going to head downstairs and workout for a bit more before I shower.

This afternoon is supposed to be sunny and warm, so I’m going to get on my gardening clothes and shoes and head out to get my flower beds in order. If I feel up to it after that I may work on the vegetable gardens too. There were also some garage sales in the area that I may drive by before lunch. Besides that my day is wide open. 🙂

Tomorrow we don’t have any plans until the evening when we are going to see the UW Mad Hatters perform. They are an a cappella group from the UW Madison. I’m excited for a little live entertainment.

Sunday its supposed to start up the next 5 days of rain! Boo to that! That just means I need to enjoy today and Saturday and soak up as much sunlight as I can!

Tom has me use 135# and that was plenty tough to do. I did HSPU with 2 abmats and a thin 10# weight under my head. That means I’m getting stronger and able to get down lower during the pushup. I was done in 6:07 (I’m going to see what I did last time we did it)

I work from 8:45-1 today and then my day is wide open. I know I need to get on the treadmill after lunch since I skipped my ‘extra’ morning workout today.

Day 1 – DOR

Good morning! Day of rest for me, my body is sore from Monday and Tuesday’s workouts.

I came to a realization yesterday, I have to get my eating back under control. Clothes feel snug, I feel self conscious. Summer is almost here and I need to feel good about how I look since I’ll be wearing less clothes! LOL

I’m back to tracking 100%, not just what I feel like.

I’ll weigh in again on May 7th in order to give my body two weeks to get back to feeling more ‘normal’ before I face the scale. I weighed in for the month already so I’m good as far as WW is concerned.

I’ve declared the cabinets ‘off limits’ for me and I need to focus on fruits, veggies, healthy carbs and proteins, along with healthy fats.

I’ll continue to go to the gym 4-5 days a week, and add in extra workouts at home. Soon I’ll get outside and get some flower beds cleaned up, that looks like Friday afternoon when it’s warm and sunny.

After 21 days of not bingeing or being out of control with my food (not measuring or recording points) I’m going to reward myself with a 60 minute massage! I could really use one today for my legs and back! 😛

On tap for today…

  • I already took L and friends to school early for a meeting
  • I shopped at Walmart for a few things and found 2 shirts (shopping did nothing for my self esteem)
  • I have to stop at Dollar Tree and look for plastic dolls for C’s diorama
  • I work WW 10:45-1pm
  • I have to pick up tickets for the UW Madhatters after WW
  • I have to stop at Kwik Trip for bananas
  • I work 5-8:30pm at the library
  • I should work on putting away the Easter décor

Cleanin’ and dippin’

Happy Tuesday! I’m so glad the rain held off last night while L was at her piano lesson. I was able to walk around for about 25 minutes and work up a sweat. I got to bed around 8:30pm so I could get up at 4am for this morning’s workout.

The warmup was the workout today! LOL Doing the handstand today I could NOT walk along the wall, my arms were like dead weight from yesterday’s workout so I just worked on my balance. On the cleans I used 75# and it was a lot more challenging, but not so hard I couldn’t do it. Progress….I did use the band on the ring dips, I started or tried to use the largest band, apparently I’m too ‘light’ for that one to work since I couldn’t move it, thankfully I planned ahead and had the next band on the other ring already, that was much better! I think I finished in 6:41 or so.

Soon I’ll get on the elliptical or treadmill and watch Alton Brown on DVD. Then I’ll shower up and get ready for the rest of my day. I work from 1-5 and we are grilling out chicken tonight for supper. After that L wants to do nails, she got a nail kit for Easter and it has a tool to help with dots and some stickers and templates for other designs. We’ll see what she comes up with. 🙂

Happy Belated Easter!

Let’s see…I haven’t posted since Friday I think. I’m unsure of how many days til 40, but each day gets closer! LOL

Saturday morning I exercised at home, we left around 7:30am and headed to Byron. We were there a bit before 11am and had a great time at my aunt’s house. The kids dyed eggs and played together. We had lunch there and then around 4pm headed to the hotel so everyone could swim and play some more. Supper was pizza at the hotel and after we just retired to our room to watch some TV, read and sleep.

Sunday we headed to my aunt’s house in the morning and the egg hunt began around 11am. It was so cute to watch the 2 year old discover the hidden eggs. 🙂 Lunch was around 12 and hubby and I went for a 30 minute walk after that. (We also walked Saturday after lunch). We ended up leaving for home around 2:30pm since my younger cousin was heading home and the little ones were going down for a nap. We stopped in Lacrosse on the way home and that was the only pitstop since the girls slept a bit and watched a movie. Even hubby fell asleep.

I knew after a weekend of not eating the greatest I had to hit the gym today. I was horribly sad when I saw thrusters. 😦

I finished FRAN in 5:48, my heart and lungs were burning like I ran a mile instead of lifted weights! Cardio, cardio, cardio!

I work soon and then I have a few things to do around the house this afternoon. Depending on the weather I might walk for 30 minutes while L is at piano lessons.
