Sore muscles this morning! Wowza, some of the stretches we did were painful.

The workout was pretty tough, I’m glad it wasn’t any longer!

Gearing up for vacation!

The girls have been looking forward to Sunday morning! They already started to pack on Monday! LOL

This morning I slept in and am taking a DOR. As expected my legs are sore! Darn front lunges with weight!

So, we discussed Paleo at supper last night. I think I’m the only one terrified of doing it. It’s soooo restrictive and I know how crazy I get with restrictions. πŸ˜› So, I looked into Clean Eating. Much more manageable for me, but there are still a ton of foods I’d have to give up….

  • no truvia
  • no sugar free syrups
  • no jello
  • no cappuccino
  • no soda
  • no cereal *it doesn’t say this, but for me it’s a no-no
  • limit processed foods

Things we can have are many…

  • fruits
  • vegetables
  • lean meats
  • whole grains
  • dairy *limited

My plan is to start ‘cleaner’ eating on August 8th, since we will be home from vacation then. Before that time I’m going to try to reduce a few things like sweetener in my oatmeal and cut back on soda, etc. We’ll see what sort of changes the girls and hubby are willing to make. πŸ™‚

Good morning! I slept great last night and did not want to get up when my alarm went off. I did, of course. I got to the gym to do this workout.

A- Hang Snatch, 90sec
9×3 –Β I got up to 50#
B- 18 min AMRAP
15 DU’s (45 singles)
12 Front Rack Lunges – I started at 55#, dropped to 45#, then later dropped to 35#, I wanted to cry!
9 T2B – I’m making more progress and getting my toes NEAR the bar. πŸ™‚

My eating is touch and go. Sometimes good, sometimes not. I told the girls we should try Paleo when we get back from vacation. They are sorta excited and sorta scared! I said we’d talk about it with dad over supper. Maybe we’ll make up our own family diet instead of strictly Paleo. I know we need to cut out the processed foods a bit more. πŸ˜›

Circus Parade Saturday

Happy Sunday morning!

Yesterday was a busy day for us. We left around 9am and stopped at the meat market to put in our order for 1/4 beef we are having butchered. We then explored downtown Baraboo and went out for lunch at Broadway Diner. We had to wait a bit for the parade at 2pm, but there was some entertainment to watch (and sweat during). The parade was great, lots of circus wagons and animals and a ton of beautiful horses! It was an hour of enjoyment for sure.

My eating wasn’t great, but I’m moving on and staying on track today. I can reverse the damage a bit before Wednesday if I try. πŸ™‚ Here are some pics….

Frantic Friday!

Good afternoon! I slept in til 5am when hubby came to kiss me goodbye. He forgot the gym was closed today and thought I was skipping out! πŸ™‚ Instead I did 15 minutes on the elliptical and then some hula hooping and ab work. Not a ton, but enough for me.

L left for band around 9am and C was working on her disaster of a bedroom. We left at 9:45am to get errands done before we picked L up from band at 11. Thank goodness I warned he we may be late, because we were just checking out at Walmart at 11am! Of course she didn’t have her phone so I couldn’t call her. Next time, take your phone! πŸ˜› I got L’s banking password worked out and can finally access her account online. The girls got 3 pairs of Bermuda length shorts and I got 1 pair. I just don’t have a lot of nicer shorts, but a TON of workout shorts! I wanted to make sure we had enough for our upcoming vacation. After we got L we headed to the Dollar Tree for Mad Scientist accessories and a few other things.

We came home uploaded and I ate lunch while they started picking up. C’s room is great! L still has a ways to go, but I see definite improvement. Tomorrow we are heading to Baraboo for shopping and watching the Circus Parade. I’m excited about it! Even though it’s going to be warm and humid out. Sunday will be a bit of relaxing at home and prepping ourselves for the upcoming week…..

  • Monday – FF, work 8:45-1, L has piano at 2
  • Tuesday – FF, drive girls to band at 8:30, work 1-5, girls come to the library
  • Wednesday – FF, drop L at friend’s house, work WW, lunch out with C

  • Friday – FF, p/u or drop off for band, L has a bday party from 1-4:30
  • Saturday – work 8:45-2, get ready for vacation
  • Sunday – leave at 7am for VACATION!!!!!!

I took a pass on the gym today

Good evening! Well, it’s been an eventful day for us. I woke up to my alarm clock and could barely move my arms and I felt groggy, so I just turned it off and went back to sleep. TOM is here today too and that always kicks my butt so I thought the rest would do me good.

We then went to Walgreens to pick up my prescription. Then off to Goodwill to find outfits for the Mad Scientist Party next week, the girls also found a couple of shirts. Finally it was off to Walmart to get a bunch of things before I needed to be to work at 10:45am. One major item was a new blender since our current one is on it’s last leg, most of the buttons don’t work anymore. More on that later. We got in line with 5 minutes to spare, only toΒ end upΒ behind by 10 minutes. I called Gayle to let her know I’d be late.

Off to work at WW and weigh-in, down 1# from last week, 160.4#. Down is good. The meeting had less members than normal, but having the 3rd receptionist is great! We left there and took C to her art lesson with Roberta. Awesome stuff happening! She’ll be working with her again in August.

L and I stopped at the Mercantile to get a bday gift for a friend and then came home so I could eat lunch and change into biking clothes. We went back into town and stopped at the library so L could turn in her reading slip and get her free book. She also had 6 books in on Hold and I had 3 items. Unload the bikes and head out for a 5 mile ride. Great day for a ride, cool, slightly breezing, wonderful! Back to the truck, load up the bikes head home. Get the call from Roberta that they are almost finished up, but mere minutes before we need to leave L is in the kitchen making a smoothie with our new Ninja blender only to start screaming, “Mommy!” I go in and see blood! Yikes! I had no idea what actually was the damage since we just put a towel on it and squeezed and elevated her hand. Initially we thought it was 3 fingers, but it turned out it was only 2. Deep cuts on the first knuckle joint of her index and middle finger. We went to the bathroom, got the first aid kit down and got the gauze out to put pressure on the cuts. She has those taped on now and later we’ll put the bandages on. To distract her while we were doing things I told her a story of my finger-chopping incident as a kid. She did start to get woozy so she sat on the toilet lid and I got her some juice. All is well now, I promised we could hang out on the couch together later.

Supper is now done and eaten and I’m looking forward to plopping my butt on the couch. At least tomorrow is ‘less’ busy. πŸ™‚

Work, work, work…

It’s always work…it’s work to actually work my job, it’s work to work-out, it’s work to eat right, it’s just work, period.Β  Yesterday was good. I did have some ice cream after work last night and it was delicious! Especially since it was so darn hot out. I slept hard last night and when my alarm went off I felt like I didn’t sleep very long. Today’s workout was work!

I take the girls in to band by 9am and then I’m going to Walgreens and Pierce’s before I have to be to work at 11am. I’m going in early today for a co-worker and she’s coming in early for me on Thursday. Sounds great to me!
