My life as a woman, wife and mother.

Things coming up…

…not much is coming up! LOL

  • Monday – gym, work 8:45-1
  • Tuesday – gym, work 8:45-1
  • Wednesday – workout at home (snowstorm!), work 8:45-5 if I can make it in
  • Thursday – gym, work 8:45-1
  • Friday – gym, work 8:45-1
  • Saturday – workout at home, lunch in Tomah with girlsfriends
  • Sunday – workout at home, retirement party for Michele at 1:30pm

So, things are going pretty well with food and my weight. I’m at 175# this morning and was 174# yesterday morning. I still want to hit the next milestone of 170#, but I don’t think it’ll happen by Valentine’s Day, so I’ll shoot for the end of February instead. I might treat myself to a manicure if I can get my nails to grow out by then and my cracked skin to heal up.

Today I have to bake bread, clean up the house a bit and possibly make some baked oatmeal. I have to see if L would eat it in the morning if I make it.

Enjoy your day!

Not much exciting happening. L’s glasses should be in around Tuesday and mine should be in on Saturday.

Friday night hubby and I went out for dinner. Mine was good, he had jambalaya and kept saying mine was better. Guess what I’m making Monday for supper? LOL

Eating this weekend was so-so. Don’t care to much about it, tomorrow is a new day.

A new week…

Good Sunday morning!

Last week was pretty good. The girls adjusted to school fine and we all looked forward to Friday. Saturday we headed to Madison to get a new winter coat for L and a few other items. Today is laundry, baking bread, homework for the kids and just hanging out.

The scale today was down almost 4# from the start of the year. Motivation to keep at it.

My week ahead…

  • Monday – gym, work 8:45-1
  • Tuesday – gym, work 8:45-1, retainer for C and then both girls have eye appointments
  • Wednesday – gym, teeth cleaning for C, work 1-5
  • Thursday – gym, work 8:45-1, C has art after school with Roberta
  • Friday – gym, work 8:45-1, C has art after school with Roberta

Enjoy your day!

My arms! (and quads)

Happy Thursday!

My quads are still so sore from Monday’s workout. Thankfully I’m not alone in my pain, a few others were complaining this morning too. After this morning’s workout my arms are complaining! LOL So much arm work I’m surprised I could wash my hair.

My weight is doing well. I’m down 2# from 1/1 and good with that.

My new treadmill will take some getting used to. The arms are longer on the sides and I tend to wack the back of my hand on them, I need to reign in my crazy arms I guess!

A few people were interested in buying my elliptical, but only if I’d practically give it away! No thanks, I’ll keep it around and try to use it before I give it away for nothing.

Things are going well with the girls. They’ve adjusted to going back to school and I think they look forward to Friday to relax.

That’s what I know. Enjoy your day!

Sticking with it!

Happy 2nd day of January! Yesterday I went out for lunch with Rachel and had a wonderful time catching up with her. I’m also happy to hear they are working on plans to move to Wisconsin. Hopefully soon, but I know things like that take time.

I did my sit-ups yesterday and this morning and I got in a bunch of steps on the treadmill and elliptical. Sadly I think my treadmill motor is going. After 40 minutes it started smelling hot and stinky. Hubby will look at it today, but I fear it may be on it’s last legs. I definitely don’t want to spend another $1200 getting a new one. Ugh…

I work today until 2pm. L is going to her friend’s house so I won’t see her until later tomorrow morning. Then they are back to school on Monday. This break seemed to go by very quickly.

I saw downward movement on the scale this morning which helps with the motivation not to bury my face in a bowl of nuts and chocolate! LOL I did buy some chocolate covered cherries yesterday. I was happy to find them 1/2 off and only a box of 5! If I share with the family that means I’m only going to eat 2 and not both in one day.

That’s what I know. Enjoy your day!

2016 and goals!

I did not make it until midnight last night, but I knew I wouldn’t. I was wide awake around 4am, but made myself get back to sleep for a bit. I just should have gotten up.

I did get in a bunch of walking & reading this morning, weighed myself and took some measurements for the new year. I’m up 10# from last year. No worries. I’m tracking my food with WW again (again) and plan to see progress on the scale and in the gym.

I did set some goals for the new year.

2016 Goals

  1. Get double unders without a single jump.
  2. Learn how to do a kipping hand stand push up.
  3. Reduce the amount of bands on pull ups.

Weight & Food

  1. Track SmartPoints
  2. 175#
  3. 170#
  4. 165#
  5. 160#

  1. Moisturize face.
  2. Take vitamins daily.
  3. 100 day ab challenge.
  4. Stretch as needed.
  5. Color in book more.
  6. Read more books on top 100 list.

Nothing too challenging, but things to work on.

I’ve read 128 books this past year (if I added right) and I plan to read many more.

I’m going to Madison soon to meet up with Rachel for lunch. She’s in Milwaukee for the holidays and I’m happy to meet up with her for a couple of hours and chat.
